Tejaswini arthroscopy CME all about knee
The Tejasvini hospital and SSIOT Mangalore in association with Karnataka orthopaedic association, Karnataka Arthroscopy Society and the Canara orthopaedic society conducted Tejasvini arthroscopy CME -all about knee at hotel Taj gateway on 10-9-17 between 8 am and 5 pm
National faculty who delivered talks and dealt in detail on the various aspects of the knee condition and arthroscopy were Dr Kiran Acharya, Dr Vivek Pandey, Dr Sachin Tapasvi, Dr Surendra Kamath, Dr Siddharth Shetty, Dr Chirag Tonse And Dr Prasad Bagunde. There was didactic lectures, case discussions, surgical relive video demonstration and panel discussions, there were more than 120 delegate who participated in the program who were credited with 2 credit points
This was conducted under the chairmanship of Dr M Shantharam Shetty and organising secretary Dr M Ajith Kumar of Tejasvini hospital Mangalore
Postgraduate Teaching programme
Department of orthopaedics, Yenepoya Medical College conducted a Postgraduate Teaching programme on Sunday 17/09/2017 (9:00 am - 2:00 p.m.) at Indoor Auditorium, Yenepoya Medical College building. Members of the Canara orthopaedic society and faculty from various medical colleges of Mangalore participated as faculty
It was attended by 56 post graduates and 23 faculties, case discussions and x rays were discussed.
The program welcome address was given by Dr Janardhana Aithala, Professor Dr Mahabala Rai, Head of Dept of Orthopaedics moderated the days events.
Teachers Day Celebration
Teachers day was celebrated in memory of Bharat Ratna S Radhakrishnan and this is an annual calender event of the canara orthopedic society. This year senior teachers and esteemed orthopaedic Surgeons Prof Dr R M Shenoy and Prof Dr Umananda Mallya, were honoured.
The society had invited Dr Chris Van Der Werken, from Nederland, Past President of AO International to grace the occasion.
He delivered a talk titled “AO rules for fools-The good bad and the ugly”. Case presentations by members were discussed.
